Square Foot = 1728
Height x Width x Length
12 x 12 x 12
Formula
Object: To find the pounds per cubic feet for a particular carton to determine the actual class:
Square Foot = 1728 inches
Measure the carton and multiply the H x W x L
Example: 40" x 24" x 40" = 38,400 inches
8 pounds per carton
Divide 38,400 by 1728 = 22.22
8 (weight of carton) divided into 22.22 = 2.78
PCF 2.78 = Class 250
